The Hamburg painter and graphic artist Wolff Buchholz (1935 - 2010) was a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg, including the Bauhaus master (Weimar) Johannes Itten (1988 - 1967), in the drawing class of Theo Garve (1902 - 1987) and Kurt Kranz (1910 - 1997), who is known as one of the last important Bauhaus students. In his works, Buchholz deals with man and his primitive environment - rocks, vegetation, stone ... The works are predominantly abstract and characterized by their own dynamics, which leads the pictorial object into hitherto unrecognized dimensions.
